Depending on how you use the service, we may collect:
- Email address (required for both free summaries and paid audits)
- URLs and documents you submit for scanning
- IP address and browser information (for security and rate limiting)
- Payment information (processed through Stripe — we do not store card numbers)
- Audit results and scan history
- Account information for registered users (name, organization)
Free Summary Scans and Follow-up Emails
When you submit an email address to run a free summary scan, we store your email, the URL or asset you submitted, your IP address, and the scan results. We use this information to deliver your summary report by email and to follow up about related products and services.
If you check the box requesting a free follow-up remediation report, we will send you that report and may follow up with additional accessibility-related communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email. Transactional emails (delivery of your scan results) are not subject to unsubscribe.
How We Use Your Information
- To deliver audit results and reports
- To process payments and manage your account
- To send transactional emails about your scans and account
- To send marketing emails about related products and services (with your consent)
- To enforce rate limits and prevent abuse
- To improve the accuracy and performance of the scanning engine

Third-Party Services

- Stripe — payment processing
- Amazon Web Services — hosting and email delivery (AWS SES)

Data Retention
We retain free summary scan records and email addresses indefinitely unless you request deletion. Paid audit records are retained as long as your account is active. We may retain certain information after deletion for legal compliance or fraud prevention purposes.

- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails
